Gaunt the hero for Saxons

Geraldine Gaunt made the cover of the end of year Gridball Monthly after her hat-trick in Supergrid put paid yet again to Birmingham and saw the Saxons retain the title. Going into a Coronation year, a regal setting was only natural.

Supergrid fashion

As is becoming the custom, the two teams were sent off and dressed for the big occasion.

Birmingham were fitted out by John Lewis while Middlesex were dressed by Marks & Spencer

It's the coronation year so let it be a gay one. A feminine one in it's colour and elegance, a year to revive the phrase 'Merrie England' Durham Gridball star Pat Harrison sets the mood and tempo as she steps forward into January 1st 1953

Please Note: Gridball is a fictional alternative universe, created for entertainment only. Teams are created from historical research into plausible scenarios of the time, players are fictional and while back stories are inspired by real events, no in game character is based on any real individual. Peripheral non game characters are occasionally depicted as fictionalised versions of real people. In such circumstances no fictional derogatory narratives are added to their story.

Results are not determined by the editor and are instead generated using a complex set of probability generators relating to individual player/characters to determine the result of each match.
